Dallan Rees is CEO and founder of dB Sound, Inc., who brings to the mix a broad base of experience in music and sound production. Dallan's early training began in Aberdeen, Washington where he grew-up. He always had an interest in music and studied voice, piano, violin, saxophone and guitar. In high school he started his own Engineering/DJ business and was also the sound technician for the school district and local summer theatre productions. He was instrumental in designing and installing the sound system in the Aberdeen School District Auditorium. Dallan also performed with the jazz choir and continued his music and technical sound studies at Edmonds Community College where he was a member of the performing group Soundsation. He served as the technical director for the Lynnwood Jazz Festival during this time. From Washington Dallan traveled to Boston, MA to study at Berklee College of Music, graduating with a bachelors degree in Music Production and Engineering. During the summers he worked for the Sundance Institute as a Sound Designer and Engineer for the Sundance Summer Theatre Program. After graduation Dallan moved to Utah and with his company, dB Sound, Inc., has had the opportunity of working on various productions, including projects for Bill Conner of Conner Soundworks, Inc., PSA’s for Bonneville Communications, KSL, 101.9 The End, Deseret Book, and many others.
